Lockheed Martin Missiles and Fire Control (MFC) is seeking a motivated entry-level Electrical, Electronic, and Electromechanical (EEE) Component Engineer to join our Hardware Engineering team. MFC is a recognized designer, developer, and manufacturer of precision engagement aerospace and defense systems for the U.S. and allied militaries. This role is ideal for a recent graduate or early-career professional looking to develop hands-on component engineering skills in a collaborative, mission-driven environment.

What You Will Be Doing

The Associate Component Engineer will support the selection, evaluation, qualification, testing, and failure analysis of EEEE components across defense programs. Responsibilities may include:

• Researching component termination styles, plastic encapsulation styles, and component construction processes

• Generating Vendor Identification Drawings, Source Control Drawings (SCDs), and Altered Item Drawings

• Processing change notices and change orders in PTC Windchill for Part Bills of Materials and maintaining the engineering BOM in accordance with LM processes

• Maintaining the Windchill parts library for tactical and test stand hardware

• Developing component qualification test plans and executing part qualifications with test houses

• Developing component screenings for parts as directed by the Parts Management Process (PMP) plan

• Researching and determining the impact of Product Change Notifications (PCNs) and obsolescence on programs

• Reviewing parts in Siemens Expedition Library for approvals per PMP guidelines

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering or a closely related STEM field from an accredited university

• Fundamental understanding of electronic components, schematic diagrams, engineering drawings, circuit card assembly concepts, parts assembly / parts management, etc.

• Must be a US citizen; must be able to obtain a DoD security clearance

Desired Skills

• Experience with parts standardization application and technology insertion within the design process.

• Knowledge of component selection, screening, qualification, and derating for use in military and aerospace flight applications.

• Experience with BOM (Bill of Material) development and management for developmental and production programs.

• Knowledge of circuit card and EEE parts/material manufacturing processes.

• Knowledge of engineering specification requirements and interpretations.

•  Experience with PTC Windchill.

•  Proficiency with Silicon Expert and related obsolescence tools.

•  Experience with Siemens expedition.
