About this role
General Dynamics - Bath Iron Works is seeking a Configuration & Logistics Data Analyst to evaluate, develop, and maintain accurate equipment/systems data for various engineering and Navy disciplines. This role is critical for supporting naval vessel maintenance and modernization requirements, with responsibilities including data change requests, technical documentation review, and team collaboration.
What you'll do:
- Take personal responsibility for your own safety through hazard identification and mitigation
- Ensure practices/processes are safely executed
- Communicate safety concerns and model safe behaviors
- Interpret intent of incoming data change requests
- Review drawings, technical manuals, change documentation, and/or other technical information to ensure configuration records are complete and accurate
- Execute changes within MBPS IAW BIW & Navy procedures and/or policies
- Champion Business Operating System (BOS) principles and productivity enhancements across the PY organization
- Develop planning data to support new equipment or system installation/removal
- Analyze ship equipment/systems configuration and ensure correct hierarchy is assigned
- Actively participate in regularly scheduled internal/external training exercises
- Maintain regular communication with assigned Navy 3MC and ensure their logistics concerns are promptly addressed
- BIW provides extensive in-house MBPS training and mentorship
What they're looking for:
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Technician II: 1-4 years' experience required
- Technician III: 5-9 years' experience required
- Strong analytical, organizational, communication and interpersonal skills required
- Strong equipment/mechanical aptitude required
- Ability to work from a computer all day required
- Basic Microsoft Office Suite experience required
- Ability to prioritize multiple projects and assignments required
- This position requires you to be able to obtain a government security clearance
- You must be a U.S. Citizen for consideration, and you must be able to obtain an interim security clearance within the first 45 days of hire
- Graduate BIW Apprentice preferred
- Current Secret Security Clearance with the US Government preferred
