Construction Accounting Intern

Boyd Jones Construction is a construction company focused on building lasting spaces for people and communities. The Construction Accounting Intern will gain hands-on experience supporting accounting activities for construction projects, including invoice processing, cost tracking, payroll data entry, financial reporting, record maintenance, and audit preparation.

What you'll do:

• Assisting with accounts payable processing, including coding and entering subcontractor and vendor invoices
• Supporting project cost tracking, job cost reporting, and budget reconciliation
• Helping with payroll data entry, timekeeping verification, and related documentation
• Assisting in preparing monthly financial reports and supporting the month-end close process
• Maintaining accurate and organized financial records, contracts, and compliance documentation
• Supporting the accounting team with audit preparation, lien waivers, and general ledger entries

• Current enrollment in an accredited program in accounting or a related field
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
• Strong analytical, math, and problem-solving skills
• Clear written and verbal communication abilities
• Self-motivated and eager to learn
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
