About this role
Meta is looking for an experienced Consumer Product Marketing Lead to drive product marketing strategy for Discovery on Facebook. In this role, you will define how people find and engage with content, creators, and experiences that matter to them — shaping the future of algorithmic and social discovery at scale. You will lead complex, cross-functional initiatives that span inbound market intelligence, product strategy influence, positioning, and go-to-market execution. This is a high-impact, highly visible role for a strategic marketer who thrives in ambiguous environments and is passionate about connecting people with content they love.
Responsibilities
- Define and lead the product marketing strategy for Discovery surfaces across Meta's apps, including Feed, Reels, and content recommendation experiences
- Develop deep audience and market insights to inform product strategy, surface prioritization, and positioning for discovery-related features and experiences
- Influence product roadmaps and feature development by synthesizing consumer research, competitive landscape analysis, and behavioral data into actionable recommendations
- Craft compelling positioning and messaging frameworks that articulate the value of Meta's discovery experiences to consumers, creators, and cross-functional partners
- Lead end-to-end go-to-market planning for major discovery product launches, including goal-setting, success metrics, integrated campaign development, and cross-functional coordination
- Partner with brand, channel, and growth marketing teams to develop outbound marketing strategies that drive awareness, engagement, and long-term retention on discovery surfaces
- Serve as the strategic voice of the consumer within the Discovery product organization, ensuring user needs and market dynamics shape product decisions
- Build and present executive-level narratives and strategic recommendations to senior leadership across product, marketing, and policy organizations
- Lead and mentor other product marketers on the team, establishing best practices for insight generation, GTM execution, and cross-functional collaboration
- Identify and frame complex, ambiguous problems across the discovery ecosystem and develop structured action plans that align stakeholders and drive measurable outcomes
Minimum Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience in product marketing, with a focus on consumer-facing products and close partnership with product teams
- Experience developing and executing go-to-market strategies for consumer discovery, content, feed, or recommendation products at scale
- Experience influencing product strategy and roadmap decisions through consumer insights, competitive analysis, and data-driven recommendations
- Experience leading cross-functional initiatives and presenting strategic recommendations to executive audiences
- Experience developing positioning, messaging, and integrated marketing campaigns for large-scale consumer product launches
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience leading and developing other product marketers in a matrixed organization
- Experience marketing algorithmic content discovery, social feed, or short-form video products (e.g., Reels, Feed, or equivalent surfaces)
- MBA or graduate degree in a relevant field such as Marketing, Business, or Communications
- Demonstrated ongoing AI skill development (e.g., prompt/context engineering, agent orchestration) and staying current with emerging AI technologies
- Demonstrated ability to integrate AI tools to optimize/redesign workflows and drive measurable impact (e.g., efficiency gains, quality improvements)
- Experience applying AI-powered tools or personalization technologies to consumer product marketing workflows or campaign development
- Experience adhering to and implementing responsible, ethical AI practices (e.g., risk assessment, bias mitigation, quality and accuracy reviews)
Compensation
- $190,000/year - $258,000/year; Country: US; Bonus eligible; Equity eligible
