Content Marketing Intern

The Game Room Club is an edutainment organization connecting youth, families, nerds, and gamers through education, entertainment, and community. The Content Marketing Intern will support a multi-channel content engine by producing video, podcast, newsletter, and customer-facing marketing content while tracking performance and recommending improvements.

What you'll do:

• Capture and edit short-form content (hooks, pacing, captions)
• Publish/schedule posts and support a weekly content calendar
• Help repurpose one recording/event into multiple posts
• Support recording sessions (setup, run-of-show, basic audio hygiene)
• Help with episode prep (topics, outlines, guest research, questions)
• Clip episodes into short social highlights + write titles/descriptions
• Draft and format newsletters (updates, stories, offers, calls-to-action)
• Write customer-facing copy: captions, short promos, simple landing copy, email updates
• Maintain basic brand voice consistency across channels
• Track weekly performance (views, clicks, opens, engagement)
• Share 1–2 recommendations weekly on what to double down on

What they're looking for:

• Are a nerd and/or gamer
• Can write clearly (you don't need to be a novelist—just sharp, clean, compelling)
• Have good content instincts (what's interesting, what's skippable)
• Are coachable, organized, and consistent
• Understand professionalism (especially because we serve youth and schools)
• Bonus points * You've written newsletters or run an email list
• * You've hosted a podcast or streamed content
• * You've managed a brand or club social account
• * You can do basic photo editing and simple graphics
• Are comfortable being on camera or willing to get there (helpful, not required)
