About this role
Capstone Copper Pinto Valley operates an open-pit copper mine in central Arizona. The Contract Recruiter will manage full-cycle recruiting for skilled trades and entry-level positions, partnering with hiring managers and HR Business Partners to source, screen, interview, and refer candidates while supporting compliance and recruitment reporting.
What you'll do:
- Partner with hiring managers and HR Business Partners to manage end-to-end recruiting activities, including job intake, sourcing, screening, interviewing, selection, and offer coordination for skilled trades and entry-level roles
- Build and maintain candidate pipelines through community outreach, colleges, employment agencies, recruiting platforms, social media, job boards, and other talent sources
- Review resumes, conduct phone and in-person interviews, evaluate candidate qualifications, and compare skills and experience against job requirements
- Facilitate recruiting discussions with hiring managers and HR Business Partners, including regular updates on candidate pipelines and critical vacancies
- Ensure candidates meet job qualifications, pre-employment requirements, and company standards prior to placement
- Track recruiting activity, generate reports, and analyze metrics related to candidate flow, time-to-fill, and sourcing effectiveness
- Maintain professional communication with candidates and recruiting agencies throughout the hiring process to support a positive candidate experience
What they're looking for:
- 1–3 years of recruiting or related human resources experience
- Experience supporting full-cycle recruiting processes
- Experience supporting **high -volume** entry level hiring
- Strong communication, interviewing, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to utilize modern recruiting tools, including job boards, social media, and digital sourcing platforms
- Ability to speak, comprehend, read, and write English fluently
- Ability to sit for extended periods while conducting interviews and managing recruiting systems
- Occasional interaction with operational leaders and candidates in field or site environments may be required
- Recruiting experience supporting hiring skilled trades including Electricians & Mechanics
- Experience in the mining, industrial, or heavy equipment environment
- Experience using ADP or other HRIS and applicant tracking systems
- Experience preparing recruiting reports and analyzing hiring metrics
