What is the opportunity?

Respond with Compassionate Action

We are seeking a Cook to join our U.S. Rebuild team in Harrison County, WV. Through humanitarian work, the goal and purpose of Samaritan's Purse are to help people in Jesus' name and share the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

In the role of Cook, you will have the opportunity to:

• Maintain a personal, active relationship with Jesus Christ and is a consistent witness for Jesus Christ

• Prepare menu, orders, and purchases to serve the staff and volunteers at the Rebuild site

• Work with the Office Manager and Volunteer Coordinator to accurately keep receipt reports and timesheets

• Maintain the kitchen and kitchen equipment

• Prepare breakfast and dinner each day for Rebuild volunteers and staff

• Oversee the cleanliness of the kitchen and dining hall

• Greet all staff and visitors and utilize volunteers to assist in the kitchen

• Other duties as assigned

What are the qualifications?

As a qualified candidate, you will have the following skills and experience:

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and one (1) to three (3) months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

• ServeSafe handler certificate (required)
