About this role

The Association of Former Students supports the Aggie Network for Texas A&M University through scholarships, student aid, awards and engagement initiatives. The Coordinator of Human Resources will support recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, HR records, compliance, employee events and daily HR operations.

What you'll do:

  • Maintain a high standard of professionalism, confidentiality and integrity
  • Facilitate recruitment and onboarding
  • Support employee relations and engagement
  • Maintain HR records and reports
  • Assist with HR projects and programs
  • Promote team culture
  • Work on-site to support daily HR operations
  • Serve as partner with hiring managers to develop and implement effective recruitment strategies
  • Coordinate onboarding and departure processes
  • Conduct student new hire orientations
  • Process all new and departing employees and all change of status forms
  • Review and maintain employee handbook

  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and exercise sound judgement with sensitive information

  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Working knowledge of human resources principles, practices and procedures
  • Demonstrated problem-solving skills and the ability to handle sensitive situations with professionalism and discretion
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite
  • Ability to work at a desk with frequent use of keyboard and monitor for significant portion of the workday
  • Lifting and carrying objects up to 10 pounds infrequently
  • One to two years of professional experience in Human Resources
