Corporate and Investment Banking Analyst - Y1 – Technology, Media, and Telcom (TMT)

Societe Generale is a global investment bank seeking a Corporate and Investment Banking Analyst to support its Technology, Media, and Telecommunications banking team. The role focuses on financial analysis, valuation, research, transaction execution, client presentations, and strategic advisory across mergers and acquisitions and debt and equity capital raising.

What you'll do:

• Prepare pitch books and presentations for client meetings, articulating complex financial concepts in a clear and compelling manner
• Prepare company profiles and detailed memoranda and presentations describing bank relationships, key client attributes and fee-generative opportunities
• Perform industry and market research to identify trends, opportunities, and competitive positioning
• Conduct detailed financial modeling and valuation analysis to support transaction decisions
• Assist in the due diligence process, coordinating with various stakeholders to gather necessary information
• Collaborate with senior bankers to help develop strategic recommendations for clients
• Monitor financial news and developments relevant to the investment banking sector and our clients
• Support the execution of transactions by preparing and reviewing documentation and liaising with onboarding, legal, and compliance teams
• Participate in client meetings and calls, providing analytical support
• Coordinate with internal functions to obtain all required approvals for the execution of transactions

• Proficiency in Excel, financial modeling and valuation techniques
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to work under tight deadlines

• Curiosity and a desire to improve
• FINRA SIE, Series 7/79 and Series 63 certifications, if not already obtained, must be obtained within five months of hire
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
• Bachelors degree from a top-tier university
• Previous work experience in investment banking, finance, or a related field
• Preferably in Economics, Accounting, or Finance
