CORPORATE HUMAN RESOURCES INTERN

HII is America’s largest shipbuilder and a global, all-domain defense provider. The Corporate Human Resources Intern will support HR departments with administrative tasks, projects, and activities while rotating through functional areas including Compensation, Benefits, EEO, Security, Learning Development, and Talent Acquisition.

What you'll do:

• Support various departments within the HR organization in day to day administrative tasks, projects, and activities
• Will alternate/rotate between various functional areas within the HR Corp Team to include: Compensation, Benefits, EEO, Security, Learning Development, and Talent Acquisition to gain a robust understanding of Human Resources

• 1. Have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher (Official transcripts will be required)
• 2. Be enrolled in a relevant degreed program that supports the company's business requirements which are typically in the following areas: •Business • Management • Accounting • Economics/Finance • Tax Accounting or Accounting Taxation • Computer Information Science or Information Technology • Communications •Marketing •English •Human Resources
• 3. Currently attending a 4 year college or university (or 2+2 program) and ideally will be a rising Junior or above, and will be attending school in the fall following the internship, or currently enrolled in a relevant Master's program
• 4. Ability to work a 40-hour work week for a minimum of 10 weeks during the summer
• Coursework in the area of Human Resources
