Responsibilities
Primary Responsibilities
· Work with Business groups to gather and document business needs and processes
· Develop enterprise business automation solutions using the toolset of the assigned projects
· Work with business teams to perform application testing of configurations, migrations, and customizations
· Operate with Arconic IS standards and conventions and applicable Arconic BU/RU IT Standards
· Work across a global IT team to share information and best practices
Key Objectives
· Collaborate with IT Applications teams learn internal development processes and standards
· Learn and apply the applicable toolsets to solve real world business problems
· Add value to the company through key IT project and task deliverables
· Bring a new perspective and new ideas to IT efforts and processes
· Communicate professionally and effectively with a wide variety of people, via face to face, over the phone, via email, via Microsoft Teams and in writing
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications
· Credits toward a bachelor’s degree in IS/IT or similar, from an accredited institution
· Relevant IT course work completed successfully
· Basic understanding of algorithms, systems analysis and design, database concepts, and networking concepts
· Must have an expected graduation date in Fall 2027, Spring/Summer of 2028, or, Spring/Summer of 2029
· Current cumulative GPA of 3.0 or greater
· Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
Preferred Qualifications
Demonstrated strong understanding of algorithms, systems analysis and design, database concepts, and networking concepts
- Prior work experience in an IT role
- Leadership experience
- Good problem-solving and analytical thinking skills
- Ability to evaluate complex business processes, identify inefficiencies, and design effective solutions with available tools.
- Good understanding of programming fundamentals
- Understanding variables, data structures, control flow, error handling, and software development best practices, with the ability to apply these concepts in cross functional tools.
- Ability to develop maintainable, reusable, and scalable automation solutions
- Adhering to coding standards, naming conventions, documentation requirements, and development best practices.
