CORPORATE STRATEGY AND DEVELOPMENT INTERN

HII is a defense technology company that builds naval ships and solutions supporting operations across sea, sky, land, space, and cyber. The Corporate Strategy and Development Intern will support organic and inorganic strategy initiatives, including M&A, market development, financial analysis, research, due diligence, project management, and cross-functional relationship building.

What you'll do:

• Support all aspects of the company’s organic and inorganic strategy, including participating in strategy projects spanning M&A transaction support, defense budget analysis, go-to-market strategy, new market development, acquisition integration, and operational and technology strategy initiatives
• Contribute to major strategy initiatives, conduct analysis (e.g. financial modeling, valuation, business cases), develop briefing & review materials, perform market research, assist in project management & due diligence, and cultivate relationships across all levels of the organization

• 1. *Have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher* (Official transcripts will be required)
• 2. Be enrolled in a relevant degreed program that supports the company's business requirements which are typically in the following areas: •Business • Management • Accounting • Economics/Finance • Tax Accounting or Accounting Taxation • Computer Information Science or Information Technology • Communications •Marketing •English •Human Resources
• 3. Currently attending a 4 year college or university (or 2+2 program) and ideally will be a rising Junior or above, and will be attending school in the fall following the internship, or currently enrolled in a relevant Master's program
• 4. Ability to work a 40-hour work week for a minimum of 10 weeks during the summer
• Business/Economics Curriculums preferred with prior relevant coursework in the preferred field/major of study
• Familiarity with Microsoft, Excel and PowerPoint preferred
