THE POSITION
- The job of the Treasurer is done for the purpose of providing complex and confidential money
management and support to the Director and Assistant Director to ensure the smooth and
efficient operation of the Greater Lafayette Career Academy (GLCA) - Reports to the Director of CTE

- Hours: 7:15 AM – 3:45 PM
- This is a full-time position, 252 days, with full benefits.

Summary
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; or Associate’s degree with a minimum of two years of experience is preferred
- Advanced-level Microsoft Office Excel Skills
- Experience with purchasing, accounting, or financial recordkeeping
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to provide guidance and training to faculty and staff regarding purchasing procedures and financial policies
- Experience with Word, Outlook, and Google Workspace
- Experience with student information systems or financial software preferred
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive financial and student information
Financial Management
- Process and reconcile purchase orders, invoices, reimbursements, and other financial
transactions. - Monitor program and operational budgets and assist administration with tracking expenditures and available balances
- Perform monthly bank reconciliations and resolve account discrepancies.
- Process cash receipts, prepare bank deposits, and complete remote deposit capture.
- Maintain accurate financial records and supporting documentation.
- Assist with year-end financial closing procedures, audits, and record retention
- Manage building credit card issuance, receipt collection, and documentation to ensure compliance with purchasing policies.
- Generate financial reports, spreadsheets, and supporting documentation for administration and Board report.
Purchasing & Program Support
- Coordinate purchasing activities and vendor communications.
- Assist faculty and staff with supply ordering, purchasing procedures, and procurement
requirements. - Administer Extra-Curricular Activity (ECA) accounts and provide guidance to faculty and staff regarding appropriate use of funds, purchasing procedures, and financial documentation.
- Coordinate textbook purchasing and inventory.
Data & Administrative Support
- Compile, analyze, and maintain operational, purchasing, and financial data to support reporting and informed decision-making.
- Develop and maintain spreadsheets to track student fees, fundraising activities, and other
program-related financial collections. - Manage internal staff fundraising accounts
- Provide administrative support to academy leadership
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Director to support the mission and operations of Greater Lafayette Career Academy.
