Cost Accountant

Plansee Group operates a Towanda, Pennsylvania site specializing in recycling tungsten and manufacturing tungsten powders for high-tech applications, including aerospace and defense. The Cost Accountant will assist with controlling activities for the GTP Towanda legal entity, including asset management, product costs, inventory valuation, planning, reporting, documentation, and monthly closing. The role will also support special projects and the annual external financial audit.

What you'll do:

• Asset Management (Assist in Capitalization, Tracking, Physicals). Product Costs (Provide Assistance/Backup)
• Inventory Valuation (Review and Support Inventory Valuation). Planning (Provide assistance and reviews for the planning process)
• Reporting (Ad hock and Monthly Standards). Create/Update Documentation for Key Processes. Monthly Closing Activities
• Provide Assistance to Special Projects. Support Annual External Financial Audit

What they're looking for:

• BS Degree in Finance/Accounting or related major
• In order to conform with U.S. government regulations, including the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) you must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident of the U.S., protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)3, or eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State
• 1-3 years of Accounting/Finance experience in a manufacturing setting (SAP/ERP experience) preferred
