Cost Accountant

Tharp Consulting is seeking an entry-level Cost Accountant to develop accurate cost per unit for current models and support sales pricing decisions. The role performs monthly closing tasks, analyzes sales and materials, prepares pricing quotes, and reports financial findings to management.

What you'll do:

• Performing monthly closing tasks related to sales and materials, presenting results to management
• Analyzing sales and materials for six annual budget events and reporting findings
• Creating sales breakdowns and profit analyses using analytical skills and accounting knowledge
• Preparing parts and unit pricing quotes with supervision
• Analyzing material usage and sales price variances under supervision

What they're looking for:

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance, or an associate's degree with 2+ years relevant experience
• Knowledge of GAAP/IFRS, cost accounting, and general accounting principles
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and presentation skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint) and SAP
• Office/hybrid remote environment, with some overtime and travel
