Cost Accounting Intern

Shure is a global audio equipment manufacturer offering a summer internship program for undergraduate and graduate students. The Cost Accounting Intern will support fiscal year-end activities and month-end closings through account reconciliations, variance analysis, standard cost reviews, transfer price updates, cost modeling, and make-or-buy analysis.

What you'll do:

• Complete account reconciliations
• Assist in generating schedules for the fiscal year end audit
• Review actual to budget results and provide explanations on variances
• Assist in setting standard product costs and analyzing changes
• Update transfer prices in SAP
• Assist with cost modeling and make / buy decisions

What they're looking for:

• The twelve-week program is offered to undergraduate and graduate students
• In-process of a bachelor's or advanced degree in accounting or related field
• Highly organized and willing to learn end-to-end process improvement skills
• Able to follow standard instructions, practices and procedures
• Self-motivated, team player, detail oriented
• Able to meet required deadlines
• Ability to work independently with high degree of accuracy and attention to detail
• Good Microsoft Office skills. Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Excel, SharePoint
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Applicants for this position must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis
