Job Description:

The Bronx County District Attorney’s Office ("BXDA") is charged with the twin goals of ensuring public safety and striving for equal justice for the over 1.4 million members of the Bronx County community. By "Pursuing Justice with Integrity," the Office places a focus on assistance for crime victims while simultaneously ensuring fairness to defendants in criminal prosecution. Moreover, the Office aims to balance the need to seek appropriate redress for certain crimes while recognizing circumstances when punitive measures do not adequately advance justice. By recognizing these significant distinctions and acting accordingly, BXDA has established a standard of excellence in the representation of the Bronx community at large, which continues to grow stronger every day.
In furtherance of this mission, the BXDA seeks an experienced and enthusiastic Court Clerk.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Specific duties will include, but are not limited to the following:

- Assist ADA’s with Status Sheets.
- Assist ADA’s in the Courtroom.
- Assist ADA’s using the BXDA database.
- Reach out to chiefs and supervisors on behalf of the ADA’s.
- Maintain all necessary forms in the court parts.
- Assist ADA’s with TOP’s and Order to produce
- Assist with bail application forms.
- Input all updated case information in the excel calendars in real time.
- Mailing out all Order of Protections.
- Export all Calendars from PDF to Excel.
- Interact with all levels of staff, law enforcement representatives, and outside visitors.
- Check records for accuracy of information and conformity with established policy.
- Ensure all Status Sheets are submitted before court begins.
- Assist with coverage of all parts.

Qualifications:

Qualification Requirements
1. High school graduation or equivalent and three years of experience in community work or community centered activities in an area related to duties described above; or
2. Education and/or experience which is equivalent to "1" above.
