The Staten Island Workforce1 Career Center is partnering with Trader Joe's to find qualified candidates for Crew Members in Staten Island, New York. Trader Joe’s is a neighborhood grocery store known for its unique selection of food, beverages, and household products, as well as its friendly customer service and team-oriented culture. Crew Members play an important role in creating a welcoming shopping experience by assisting customers, stocking products, operating registers, maintaining the store, and supporting daily operations. Trader Joe’s provides a fast-paced, collaborative work environment where employees are encouraged to be helpful, positive, and engaged with customers and their coworkers.

The Crew Member is responsible for providing friendly and helpful customer service, assisting customers with product questions, operating the register, stocking and organizing merchandise, and maintaining a clean and safe store. Crew Members also receive and handle products and help replenish displays as needed. The position supports daily store operations while working as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

This position is located in Staten Island, New York. 

• Provide friendly and helpful customer service.
• Assist customers with product questions and recommendations.
• Operate the cash register and process customer transactions accurately.
• Stock shelves and organize merchandise.
• Receive, unload, and properly store products.
• Maintain clean, organized, and safe store areas.
• Check product displays and replenish items as needed.
• Work as part of a team to support daily store operations.

• At least 6 months of recent customer service experience required.
• Open availability, including weekends and holidays.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent customer service and a friendly, positive attitude.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
• Ability to handle cash and operate a register accurately.
• Ability to stock, organize, and lift merchandise as needed.
• Reliable, punctual, professional, and willing to assist with various store tasks.
