Job Description and Duties
PM Shift Monday - Friday (3:00pm – 11:30pm) RDO’s Saturday & Sunday
The CSI is responsible for the direct supervision of Custodians on the PM Shift and may supervise patients on Industrial Therapy (IT) assignments involved in the environmental care of the hospital, which includes Secured Treatment Areas (STA) and non-STA's. Responsibilities include the oversight of daily housekeeping services in assigned areas, ensuring the appropriate and timely completion of each required task in accordance with the Housekeeping Policies and Procedures; conducting weekly inspections in assigned work areas focusing on environmental cleaning and safety of each area in compliance with hospital and government regulations; resolving any discrepancies; reporting all findings and recommendations for improvement to the Custodian Supervisor (II); completing a monthly physical inventory of Housekeeping supplies to ensure the proper minimum/maximum stock; and performing other related Housekeeping duties as required.
Candidates must possess strong supervisory skills; experience working in an institutional setting/environment; knowledge of Housekeeping methods, equipment, and material; experience in ordering and maintaining accurate inventory of required supplies; understanding and compliance with Housekeeping and hospital policies and procedures and all applicable governing regulations; effective and clear communication skills; the ability to analyze complex situations and make appropriate decisions; good organizational skills; and basic computer skills.

Working Conditions
Patton is a forensic psychiatric hospital and was established in 1890 and opened in 1893. DSH-Patton provides treatment to forensically and civilly committed patients within a secure treatment area. The hospital does not accept voluntary admissions.
