About this role
The CWRU Community Pantry and Dean of Students Office Student Employee will support the mission and foster the development and growth of the CWRU Community Pantry. The CWRU Community Pantry offers free resources such as perishable and shelf stable food items, hygiene products, and cleaning products. The CWRU Community Pantry is open to all students, faculty, staff, and community members. The Dean of Students Office oversees the CWRU Community Pantry and serves in an advocacy role for all CWRU students.
- Responsibilities
- Stock shelves
- Sort donations
- Unload boxes after a pick-up or delivery
- Help with food pick-ups when needed
- Provide positive customer service to everyone who visits
- Assist with social media development
- Promote awareness of food insecurity on campus
- Participate in team meetings
- Keep the pantry clean and organized
- Assist with PantryTrak check-ins and maintaining the pantry’s line
- Table at events to advertise the CWRU Community Pantry and the Dean of Students Office
- Assist with temperature logs when needed
- Inspect food for quality assurance
- Assist with inventory sheet and check for expiration dates
- Maintain privacy of all who use the pantry
- Other duties as assigned
Hours

Day and evening shifts available

Shifts are 4-5 hours per week

Attend all assigned tabling/marketing events

Come to work with a positive attitude

Notify the supervisor when a scheduled shift cannot be covered

Complete all tasks assigned in a timely manner

Arrive on time for scheduled shifts

Compensation

$13.44hr (Federal Work-Study Students only)
Minimum Skills
- Minimum commitment for 1 year

Federal work-study student

Working knowledge of Google Sheets

Working knowledge of social media and platforms to create flyers and other media
