Cybersecurity Analyst Internship - Summer 2027

Casey's is a growing Fortune 500 retail company offering an internship designed to develop future talent through meaningful work and collaboration with industry professionals. The Cybersecurity Analyst Intern will learn identity lifecycle management and layered cyber defense while analyzing security alerts, improving workflows and defenses, and supporting security testing, risk analysis, and mitigation recommendations.

What you'll do:

• You'll learn the identity lifecycle in depth as well as components of our layered cyber defense model
• Once experienced and familiar with Casey's policies and procedures, you'll help us to improve and automate our workflows and defenses
• You will act as a SOC Analyst in analyzing security alerts, establishing threat management processes, maintaining data, performing tests and risk analysis, and making mitigation recommendations to supporting tech teams
• You will have the opportunity to dig into the implementation of best practice security capabilities in areas that could include perimeter controls, cloud security, application whitelisting, red team analysis, and endpoint security

What they're looking for:

• Current Junior or Senior pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Cybersecurity, Cybersecurity Engineering, Computer Science or related field
• Experience with email or endpoint security products is beneficial
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills; able to manage priorities and workflow
• Ability to exercise independent judgment
• Proven ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines
• Experience with managing firewalls, Azure networking, and Azure security preferred, but not required
