Cybersecurity Governance Analyst & Enablement Intern

Harmonic is a leader in virtualized broadband solutions, and they are seeking a motivated Cybersecurity Governance Analyst & Enablement Intern to join their Information Security team. The intern will assist in laying the groundwork for an ISO 27001 certification and gain hands-on experience in enterprise security governance practices.

What you'll do:

• Supports the foundation-building work for an eventual ISO 27001 certification
• Performs risk assessments
• Documents risk treatments and associated follow-up actions
• Generates governance-related dashboards for executive team leaders
• Assists with security policy formulation and document management
• Gathers security control evidence and associated records
• Supports management and setup of the governance SaaS platform
• Performs various other duties as required

What they're looking for:

• Currently pursuing a degree in Cybersecurity, Information Systems, IT, or a related field
• Familiarity with basic security or risk-management concepts (coursework or project experience is acceptable)
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, particularly for documentation and evidence tracking
• Self-motivated and able to work effectively in a fully remote, distributed team
• Good communication skills, comfortable in presenting to groups of stakeholders and following up on requests
• Comfortable using Microsoft 365 suite, Excel, PowerPoint, Word
