Cybersecurity Intern

CNA Corporation is seeking a Cybersecurity Intern to support its business operations and corporate information security activities. The intern will monitor security alerts, assist with security policies and incident response, support compliance activities, provide customer support, and participate in security awareness initiatives.

What you'll do:

• Monitor security alerts, incidents, and requests through group mailboxes and ticketing systems, providing first-line support to end users
• Assist in the development, review, and maintenance of security policies, standards, and procedures aligned with NIST, CMMC, CORA, and other best practices
• Support incident response activities, including documentation, escalation, and coordination with senior analysts
• Contribute to compliance programs and cross-functional audits, ensuring adherence to regulatory and contractual requirements
• Provide excellent customer support by responding to security-related inquiries, educating users on security best practices, and ensuring timely resolution of service tickets
• Collaborate with members of the CIO team and other stakeholders to support organizational security goals
• Participate in security awareness and training initiatives

What they're looking for:

• Must be in junior or final year of bachelor's degree or enrollment in a graduate program related to Cybersecurity
• Must have experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); good interpersonal and oral and written communication skills; critical thinking and organizational skills
• Related Undergraduate level coursework and experience preferred
