Cybersecurity Support Specialist - TS/SCI with Polygraph

General Dynamics Information Technology is a technology and professional services company delivering technology solutions and mission services to government, defense, and intelligence customers. The Cybersecurity Support Specialist provides entry-level information system security and ISSO support, including data transfers, compliance reviews, vulnerability remediation coordination, and continuous monitoring. The role also supports cybersecurity teams, professional development, and collaboration with military personnel, civilians, and contractors.

What you'll do:

• Work side-by-side with GDIT professionals delivering work for clients
• Collaborate with a team of peers to learn and grow cybersecurity skills, knowledge and experience
• Participate in professional development opportunities through On-the-Job (OJT) training and available training courses curated via GDIT
• Understanding and application of fundamental network security principles and practices
• Understanding of basic system functions, security policies, technical security safeguards, and operational security measures
• Understanding of common system technology implementations, including but not limited to client-server, cloud computing, virtualization, web hosting, web content servers, policy servers, directory servers, firewalls, WAN, LAN, switches, and routers
• Understanding of and ability to use common Information Technology (IT) operating systems (e.g. Microsoft Windows, LINUX, UNIX, Mac OS, etc.) and applications (e.g. Microsoft Office Suite)
• Familiarity with detecting and preventing computer security compromises in a networked environment
• Ability to quickly learn and use tools focused on prevention and/or negation of malicious code (e.g HBSS, Anti Malware, ACAS)
• Ability to apply a risk management philosophy when faced with security challenges and the ability to articulate the pro’s and con’s in a clear concise manner
• Ability to quickly learn and apply applicable Customer, IC, DoD policies, procedures and operating instructions related to Information Technology, Information Assurance, Information Management (IT/IA/IM)
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and team-building skills to engender rapport with the military personnel, civilians, and other contractors at all levels
