Data Analyst

DOTS Inc is seeking a Data Analyst to transform business and operational information into dependable reports and actionable insights. The role involves preparing and validating data, building dashboards and metrics, investigating trends and data-quality issues, documenting analytical work, and collaborating with stakeholders on reporting needs.

What you'll do:

• Prepare, clean, and reconcile data from approved sources before using it in analysis or recurring reports
• Build and maintain reports, dashboards, and performance metrics with documented definitions and calculation methods
• Use SQL, spreadsheets, and suitable reporting tools to investigate trends, outliers, and data-quality issues
• Check results against source records and investigate inconsistencies before sharing conclusions
• Explain findings in clear business language, including limitations and assumptions that could affect decisions
• Maintain organized documentation for queries, report updates, data sources, and quality checks
• Work with stakeholders to clarify reporting requests, priorities, and deadlines

What they're looking for:

• Hands-on ability to analyze structured data and verify its completeness and accuracy
• Working knowledge of SQL and Excel or equivalent analytical tools
• Ability to create clear reports or dashboards and explain what the numbers mean
• Careful documentation practices and sound judgment when information is incomplete
• Strong written communication and dependable collaboration in a remote environment
