Data Analyst

Hotwire Communications Ltd is seeking a Data Analyst, Process Operations to provide critical business insights, improve targeting, and maximize return on investment. The role analyzes and validates data, develops operational reports and dashboards, and uses Excel, SQL, and Power Query to support business decisions and resource allocation.

What you'll do:

• 1. Use data analytics to recommend solutions to business problems including how to best manage and allocate people, processes, time, materials, assets and equipment
• 2. Work collaboratively to design, develop and/or manipulate reports for various business functions within operations, call center, training, new product and launch divisions to measure performance effectiveness
• 3. Analyze and validate data and reporting
• 4. Use Microsoft Excel extensively for data analysis, reporting, dashboards, pivot tables, formulas, lookups, and data modeling
• 5. Use SQL to query, extract, manipulate, and analyze data from databased. Use Power Query to automate data preparation, transformation, and recurring reporting purposes
• 6. Strong technical skills in Excel, SQL, Power Query, and data analysis
• 7. Keen ability to identify trends, uncover issues, and recommend practical solutions
• 8. Research/evaluate new analytic methodologies, approaches and solutions
• 9. Other duties as required or assigned

What they're looking for:

• * Bachelor's degree in Data Analytics, Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related field required
• * 1+ years of experience in data analysis
• * Strong proficiency in Excel skills
• * Strong working knowledge of SQL , including the ability to write queries to retrieve, filter, join, aggregate, and analyze data
• * Experience with Power Query for data extraction, transformation, and automation
• * Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
• * Experience applying mathematics and statistics to achieve business objectives
• * Six-Sigma a plus
