About this role
TMC Technologies supports the mission of the Naval Surface Warfare Dahlgren Division through development and maintenance of tactical initiatives and baseline developments for naval weapons and combat systems. The Data Analyst will analyze combat system test data, interpret test results using system-specific tools, assess system behavior against specifications, and produce timestamped logs to support issue resolution.
What you'll do:
- Analyze Test Observation Reports (TORs) and other combat system and sub-system test data
- Use system-specific tools to interpret test results
- Reference software specification and design documentation to determine if systems are behaving as intended, and recommend solutions to alleviate identified issues
- Utilize custom software tools to examine recorded data
- Parse data according to the corresponding software baseline and produce timestamped logs for analysis
What they're looking for:
- Bachelor's Degree in Mathematics, Physics, Computer Science, or similar technical field
- Experience / understanding of spreadsheets, data visualization, analytics, and/or computer modeling
- Ability to read and understand Java code
