Data Analyst Engineer

Mattson Technology, Inc. is a Silicon Valley company that designs and manufactures processing equipment for the semiconductor industry. The Data Analyst Engineer will support data-driven decision-making by analyzing system performance data and collaborating with various teams to ensure accurate reporting and process improvement.

What you'll do:

• Collect, analyze, and interpret equipment and system performance data to identify trends, issues, and improvement opportunities
• Develop and maintain dashboards, reports, and data visualization tools
• Support predictive analysis to identify potential system failures and improve uptime
• Collaborate with Technical Support and Engineering teams to document best known methods (BKMs), procedures, and manuals
• Prepare documentation to align with customer-specific standards and copy-exact requirements
• Manage and maintain documentation related to escalations, corrective actions, and system changes
• Track, manage, and follow up on action items and key deliverables
• Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and consistency across systems and reports
• Support continuous improvement initiatives through data insights and process optimization

What they're looking for:

• Master's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Data Analytics, or a related field
• 0–3 years of experience in data analysis, engineering, or a related technical role (new graduates encouraged to apply)
• Proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, SQL, Python, or similar)
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
• Ability to work cross-functionally and communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Experience in semiconductor or manufacturing environments
• Familiarity with technical documentation and process standardization
• Understanding of system performance metrics and predictive analytics
