About this role

Upstart is an AI lending marketplace focused on reducing the cost and complexity of borrowing through technology. The Data Analyst, Home Lending will strengthen secured lending data, reporting, and risk oversight by managing regulatory and management reporting, data quality controls, dashboards, and analytical packages in partnership with compliance, risk, operations, and business teams.

What you'll do:

  • Own first-line secured lending data and reporting support, including regulatory reporting inputs, data integrity, reconciliations, and timely loan-level reporting
  • Lead regulatory and risk reporting for home lending, including filing our HMDA LAR, mapping Call Report feeds, tracking CRA activity, and performing loan-level quality checks on data used for fair lending and compliance testing
  • Produce risk dashboards and management reporting across portfolio, channel, geography, delinquency, vintage, concentration, and product performance
  • Maintain core data pipelines, controls, and aggregation capabilities supporting reliable product- and portfolio-level reporting
  • Provide reporting for product risk oversight, including channel, underwriting, pricing, override, and exception reporting
  • Support exams, committees, and business continuity planning through data extracts, analytical packages, reporting materials, and recovery-planning inputs

What they're looking for:

  • 5+ years of experience with data collection, reporting, or compliance reporting and monitoring
  • Strong understanding of mortgage lending operations and regulatory data requirements
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work cross-functionally and manage deadlines in a highly regulated environment
  • Proficiency with loan origination, compliance, or data reporting systems
  • Prior experience preparing HMDA LAR, CRA data, and Call Report submissions
  • Familiarity with fair lending, mortgage compliance, or consumer lending compliance
  • Experience supporting regulatory exams, audits, or compliance testing

Benefits:

  • Flexible digital-first work arrangement, with most Upstarters able to work remotely from anywhere they thrive in the U.S. and Canada
  • Competitive compensation, including bonus opportunities and annual equity grants that vest quarterly
  • 401(k) or Group Retirement Savings Plan with a company match of $2 for every $1 contributed, up to $15,000 annually (USD in the US, CAD in Canada)
  • Employee Stock Purchase Plan (ESPP) with discounted stock purchase options for eligible employees (US only)
  • Comprehensive health coverage, including medical, dental, vision, and wellness resources for US employees and supplemental health coverage for Canada
  • Health Savings Account contributions from Upstart for eligible plans (US only)
  • Income protection benefits, including life insurance and disability coverage
  • Paid time off, sick leave, and company holidays, in line with local requirements
  • Paid family and parental leave to support caregiving and major life moments (duration varies by country)
  • Family-centered benefits to support fertility, parenthood, and caregiving needs
