Data Analyst Intern

Ameritas Life Insurance Corp provides trusted financial products and guidance, including life insurance, disability insurance, retirement planning, investments, and wealth management services. The Data Analyst Intern will support business intelligence and data activities for the Individual division by producing and analyzing reports, integrating data solutions, contributing to dashboard efforts, and developing workflows and automation tasks.

What you'll do:

• Integrate data or reporting solutions with other applications and platforms
• Produce and analyze data extracts and reports from systems
• Contribute to solutioning business intelligence or reporting dashboard efforts with team, application owners, architects, business analysts and clients
• Learn to utilize new application packages and tools and best practices
• Identify technical requirements, create technical design specifications and documentation
• Work closely with business stakeholders and business analysts to develop and modify workflows and automation tasks

What they're looking for:

• Must be enrolled in a college or university program full time (or at minimum ½ time) for the duration of the internship
• Able to fulfill a long-term internship commitment working full-time in the summer and part-time during the school year
• Consistently demonstrate initiative and a professional, self-directed approach to responsibilities and an ability to meet deadlines
• Accept additional projects and responsibilities as assigned. Demonstrate the ability to deal with pressure, to meet deadlines, to be accurate, and to handle constantly changing situations
• Proven ability to work well and proactively communicate with all levels of management within the organization
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills required
• Keen analytical skills and proven ability to develop effective financial analysis required
• Extremely strong PC and Excel skills are required
• Previous experience with Power BI, SQL, Tableau, Cognos, or some combination thereof is desired
