About this role

They are seeking a Data Analyst to work on NIH-funded studies in HIV prevention epidemiology and digital health intervention research. The role involves data management, analysis, and collaboration with the research team to support various projects.
What you'll do:
- Creates and maintains a data dictionary and meta data
- Supports efforts to ensure that data standards are developed and maintained
- Ensures that the uses of data through reports and queries are accurate
- Supports business and system re-engineering and architecture development to define future data needs
- Serves as an organizational consultant on matters relating to databases by providing expertise to assist users in meeting their needs
- Performs other related duties as required
- Work closely with the Principal Investigator in all aspects of the research
- Develop data collection systems
- Conduct data cleaning and codebook development
- Monitor study data and provide biweekly updates to the study team on accumulating data
- Prepare analysis datasets and documentation
- Facilitate study analysis and assist faculty and post-docs in data analysis activities, including table and figure development for manuscripts
What they're looking for:
- A bachelor's degree and one year of experience in data analysis, statistics, or a related field, OR an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
- Master's degree in Epidemiology, Biostatistics or other relevant quantitative field
- Experience with quantitative data analysis
- Experience using statistical software to derive quantitative research findings
- Excellent scientific writing ability
- Experience in data management and analysis using SAS, R or other statistical software
- Experience in analysis of clinical trial and/or national claims data
- Experience in HIV prevention or digital health
