Data Analyst (Tax & Cost Basis)

Apex Fintech Solutions provides technology solutions for digital wealth management and financial markets. The Data Analyst will analyze Tax & Cost Basis data processes, solve complex problems, ensure data quality, develop reporting, and help automate workflows while delivering data-driven insights.

What you'll do:

• Utilize advanced SQL and Claude AI skills to support the Tax & Cost Basis Operation teams
• Evaluate data flows to identify areas for improvement and assist in the development and implementation of solutions
• Ensure that solutions align with business needs and requirements
• Analyze data trends and prepare reports with actionable recommendations for management
• Develop, maintain, and enhance reporting to measure performance and support business decisions
• Conduct software and data quality testing, ensuring end-to-end processes achieve the desired outcomes
• Update and implement written procedures for operational tasks
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Product, Operations, and Development) to address data-related needs
• Contribute to the development of automated workflows to streamline processes and reduce manual interventions

• 1–3 years of experience in data analysis
• Advanced SQL skills
• Exceptional analytical skills

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Continuous improvement mindset, with the ability to think outside the box
• Understanding of the financial services industry, particularly cost basis and tax reporting
• Experience with APIs and Claude AI is a plus
