Data Analytics Intern (Data Science)

Acuity Insurance is seeking a Data Analytics Intern to support data-driven insights and visualization. The intern will conduct research and data collection, summarize analytical findings, collaborate on solutions, and learn actuarial techniques, methodologies, and computer systems.

What you'll do:

• Conduct appropriate research and data collection
• Summarize analysis and findings with accuracy and proper level of detail
• Work with others to develop best solutions and accomplish goals
• Regular and predictable attendance
• Perform other duties as assigned
• Follow department standards and procedures

What they're looking for:

• Currently enrolled in a formal University undergraduate degree program pursuing mathematics, actuarial science, or related field, and possessing high level of achievement, including academic grades
• Previous responsibilities demonstrating goal-orientated outcomes and teamwork
• Effective verbal and written communication skills
• Proven mathematical, analytical, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and on a team
• Ability and desire to learn various actuarial techniques and procedures
• Ability and desire to become familiar with company operations, actuarial methodologies and computer systems
