Data Analytics Intern - Summer 2027

Ruan Transportation Management Systems is seeking a Data Analytics Intern for Summer 2027. The intern will gather and validate data, apply statistical methods to generate actionable insights, and support data-informed decision-making across cross-functional teams. The role also includes preparing reports, supporting financial analysis, and contributing to cost and process improvement initiatives.

What you'll do:

• Duties may include assisting in the preparation of reports and presentation material 25%
• Provide day-to-day business activities focused on meeting internal and external customer needs 25%
• Fully support financial business case analysis 25%
• Participate in major cost and process improvement initiatives and projects, and provide technical support in managing the business unit's financial performance. 20%
• Perform other job-related duties and special projects as required. 5%

What they're looking for:

• * Education: Some College Courses Preferred
• * Experience: none
• * **Degree:** Pursuing a degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Data Analytics, or a related field
• * **Technical Skills:** Proficiency in SQL, Python, or R for data manipulation and analysis
• * **Tools and Systems:** Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI), and familiarity with database management systems (e.g., SQL)
• * **Soft Skills:** Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving abilities, and excellent communication skills
