## This Opportunity
WSP is seeking a Data Analytics & Program Management Consultant to join its Critical & Emerging Technologies Team in support of a major public transit client. This role involves working on-site in Baltimore, MD 2–3 days per week and contributing to program management, data visualization, dashboard development, performance analysis, and strategic reporting efforts.
## Your Impact
The consultant will support transit performance and operational data efforts across multiple modes of transportation. Key responsibilities include:
- Coordinating monthly performance meetings, including refreshing Power BI reports, validating data accuracy with subject matter experts, preparing agendas, and facilitating discussions.
- Developing and maintaining Power BI dashboards with a focus on DAX coding, visual design, and user experience.
- Conducting data literacy training sessions to support internal stakeholders’ use of dashboards and reports.
- Providing data-driven recommendations to enhance service performance and operational decision-making.
- Collaborating with stakeholders across departments to gather and refine data inputs, and improve data quality.
- Supporting performance initiatives by documenting scopes, stakeholder requirements, data sources, and tracking progress on action items.
- Working alongside WSP’s Critical & Emerging Technologies Team to develop data pipelines and coordinate other technical tasks as needed.
- Presenting analytical findings to client leadership and senior staff in a clear, actionable format.
- Managing multiple workstreams with strong prioritization, organization, and attention to detail.
## Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Math, Data Analysis, Accounting, Finance or related field.
- 0 to 1 years of relevant post education experience working as a data analyst or similar designation.
- Familiarity with business intelligence tools (e.g. Tableau), and big data technologies (e.g. Hadoop, Spark).
- Familiarity with computer programing databases, coding and testing (e.g. SQL).
- Familiarity with data management practices, performing exploratory data analysis, and employing research techniques.
- Analytical mindset with an ability to exercise sound judgement in evaluating situations, applying logic, and making decisions.
- Capable interpersonal and communication skills when interacting with others, and effectively articulating complex data in a simple, actionable manner.
- Capable self-leadership with attention to detail, accuracy, multi-tasking, and prioritization of responsibilities in a dynamic work environment.
## Priority Skills
- Strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills.
- Experience presenting to client leadership and collaborating with stakeholders at multiple levels.
## Technical Skills and Core Requirements
- Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Power BI and SQL.
- Experience with Python, R and AWS Data base is a plus.
- On-site attendance required 2–3 days per week at the client’s Baltimore office (Inner Harbor area).
- The selected analyst must not be absent for more than 10 consecutive business days (excluding official holidays).

## Compensation
Expected Salary (all locations): $70,000 - $80,000. WSP USA is providing the compensation range that the company in good faith believes it might pay and offer for this position, based on the successful applicant’s education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities in addition to internal equity and specific geographic location. WSP USA reserves the right to ultimately pay more or less than the posted range and offer additional benefits and other compensation, depending on circumstances not related to an applicant’s sex or other status protected by local, state, and/or federal law.
