SUCCESS IN THIS ROLE INCLUDES

  • Producing accurate, repeatable, and well-documented validation results.

  • Following established methodologies while exercising sound professional judgment.

  • Working independently while appropriately escalating risks or uncertainties.

  • Maintaining organized and audit-ready work products.

  • Continuously improving technical knowledge while supporting standardized team practices.

Responsibilities

Data Conversion Procedures:

  • Support data conversion activities from data cleansing and extraction through business validation.

  • Assist in developing conversion procedures and tools that support data quality and validation objectives.

Data Validation and Documentation:

  • Perform rigorous business validation processes to ensure data accuracy and completeness throughout the conversion process.

  • Identify, investigate, and resolve data-related issues.

  • Maintain complete, organized, and auditable documentation that enables another analyst or auditor to independently understand, reproduce, and verify validation results.

Quality Assurance and Validation Integrity:

  • Triage and track issues or defects, collaborating with workstream teams to drive resolution throughout the data cleansing and validation process.

  • Execute validation activities using established methodologies, approved tools, and documented procedures.

  • Escalate risks, unresolved issues, and process concerns as appropriate.

Certification:

  • Participate in formal certification activities by validating that converted data meets established quality, completeness, and business acceptance criteria.

  • Prepare validation evidence and supporting documentation required for certification reviews.

Communication and Continuous Improvement:

  • Provide stakeholders with timely updates regarding data cleansing progress, risks, and issue resolution efforts.

  • Recommend process improvements supported by analysis and aligned with established team standards.

Professional Ownership:

  • Take ownership of assigned validations from planning through completion, proactively identifying risks, communicating status, and delivering high-quality work products that are complete and presentation-ready.

KEY CHALLENGES

  • Managing the complexity of data from multiple legacy systems while ensuring seamless integration into the new system.

  • Identifying, documenting, and resolving data discrepancies throughout the cleansing, certification, and post-conversion validation processes when working with tight deadlines and across multiple teams.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration.  Accounting, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

  • 4+ years of experience in data management, data conversion, or a related role.

  • Demonstrated advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including complex formulas, data analysis, and Power Query.

  • Experience supporting data conversion projects, preferably within a large-scale ERP implementation.

  • Strong analytical reasoning skills with the ability to distinguish root causes from symptoms and evaluate data objectively.

  • Proficiency in data management tools and software.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Demonstrated ability to quickly learn new business processes, data structures, and enterprise applications.

  • Demonstrated exceptional attention to detail and ability to identify inconsistencies, anomalies, and potential data quality issues.

  • Ability to independently execute assigned work while exercising sound judgment regarding when to proceed, when to seek clarification, and when to escalate risks or unresolved issues.

  • Ability to work effectively in evolving environments where requirements mature over time while maintaining adherence to documented processes.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Certification in data management or related fields.

  • Experience with ERP systems such as PeopleSoft, SAP, Oracle Fusion, or Microsoft Dynamics.

  • Familiarity with defect tracking systems and best practices.
