What you will be doing:
- Contribute as a member of the Data Infrastructure and Compliance Engineering squad to deliver data products and resolve data-related technical issues
- Help build and manage automation tools and data pipelines that meet Data Governance and Data Security Standards
- Assist in the development and maintenance of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) templates (e.g., Terraform) to provision and manage cloud data resources
- Use Python and Scala to utilize Spark to collect and manage data at scale
- Collaborate with the team to identify, design, and implement process improvements, including automating manual processes, optimizing data delivery, and re-designing infrastructure for greater reliability and performance
- Help to support the engineering of distributed systems, frameworks, and design patterns, enabling efficient usage of Ibotta’s Data Lake
- Evangelize Data Engineering and supporting capabilities with Platform and Analytics teams

What we are looking for:
- Juniors working towards a bachelor’s degree with a focus in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Analytics or related field
- Proven ability to think creatively and implement ideas from start to finish
- Good written and verbal communication skills
