Data Engineering Cooperative Education Intern

Southern Farm Bureau Life Insurance is a leading provider of life insurance and financial services. As a Data Engineering Intern, you will support data modernization efforts by helping prepare, organize, and maintain data for reporting and analytics.

What you'll do:

• Assist with building and maintaining data pipelines that move data between systems
• Help monitor data processes and report issues affecting data quality or availability
• Support data validation, testing, and documentation activities
• Work with data engineers, analysts, and business teams to understand data needs and support reporting solutions
• Assist in creating and documenting datasets, metadata, and business definitions
• Gain exposure to cloud data platforms, reporting tools, and emerging AI-related data use cases

What they're looking for:

• Pursuing a BS Undergraduate in Computer Science, Math, Information Systems, Data Science or Statistics
• Maintain a minimum 3.0 GPA
• Working knowledge of Python and SQL
• Good interpersonal and communication skills
• Driven, Curious, and takes initiative to contribute beyond assigned tasks
