Data Governance & Reporting Analyst

Levy Restaurants is a food, beverage, and retail company operating across entertainment, sports, and restaurant venues. The Data Governance & Reporting Analyst will support enterprise data standards, policies, controls, and governance processes, while improving data quality, documentation, ownership, and responsible data use. The role will also collaborate with business and technical teams, monitor governance metrics, and support compliance and governance tooling.

What you'll do:

• Help draft, maintain, and socialize data governance policies (data quality rules, classification standards, naming conventions, retention schedules)
• Run regular data quality checks across key systems; investigate root causes and track remediation to closure
• Maintain and grow the data catalog (metadata, business definitions, lineage documentation) so people can find and trust the data they need
• Identify and document data owners and stewards across business units; keep the ownership map current as teams and systems change
• Support compliance-related governance work (privacy, retention, access reviews) in partnership with Legal/Compliance
• Participate in access control and data classification reviews, flagging risk areas to the governance lead
• Track and report governance KPIs (data quality scores, policy adoption, open remediation items) to leadership
• Build lightweight training materials and office hours so business teams understand and adopt governance policies
• Help evaluate and administer governance tooling (catalog, lineage, or quality platforms) as the program matures

What they're looking for:

• • Working knowledge of data governance frameworks, policies, standards, and data lifecycle management
• • Experience with data dictionaries, business glossaries, metadata, and data catalogs
• • Experience establishing and monitoring data quality rules, controls, metrics, and remediation processes
• • Knowledge of data ownership, stewardship, classification, lineage, retention, and access-control concepts
• • Proficiency with SQL and data analysis or reporting tools
• • Working knowledge of privacy, security, and regulatory requirements related to organizational data
• • Experience documenting data standards, procedures, definitions, and governance processes
• • Experience supporting governance councils, data stewards, system owners, and cross-functional data initiatives
• • Ability to analyze data-quality issues and coordinate remediation with technical and business teams
• • Experience maintaining governance documentation and tracking data-related issues through resolution
• • Experience partnering with business and technology stakeholders on data management initiatives
• • Familiarity with data quality monitoring, metadata management, and governance reporting processes
