Data Privacy and AI Associate

Barnes & Thornburg LLP is searching for a Data Privacy and AI Associate. The Associate will ideally have 1–3 years of relevant data privacy experience and will work with a wide range of clients to analyze and mitigate risks related to the collection, storage, distribution, and use of data. The Associate will focus on privacy counseling and guidance; review and drafting of data retention policies, data privacy and data processing agreements, incident response plans, incident reports, and breach notifications; and assisting with data breach response matters. The Associate will also handle artificial intelligence (AI) matters and keep current with state and federal privacy/AI laws and cybersecurity regulations. ## Qualifications - Ideally have at least one year of data privacy, data protection, and/or data security experience. - Demonstrate an interest in the field, including CIPP certification. - Ideally have some AI experience. - Ideally have some experience with incident response and data breach matters. - Have a solid academic record, strong legal research and writing skills, and keen attention to detail. - Have strong interpersonal skills, a strong work ethic, and show initiative. - Be active and admitted to the local state bar or eligible to waive in.Barnes & Thornburg LLP is an AmLaw 100 firm with 26 offices.
