About this role
Morningstar DBRS is seeking a Data Research Analyst to join its Data Management team. The role supports Structured Finance security mappings, data quality controls, regulatory reporting, and enterprise data governance and AI-ready data initiatives while collaborating with Data, Credit Operations, and Technology stakeholders.
What you'll do:
- Perform Structured Finance security mappings, ensuring accuracy and completeness of identifiers
- Execute daily data quality controls across production datasets, including pre-publication validations and reconciliations against external sources
- Contribute to data governance and AI ready initiatives, including population and maintenance of metadata, data dictionary, and mapping out data lineage
- Investigate, resolve, and document data issues in collaboration with internal stakeholders
- Support regulatory and reporting processes, including execution of data quality checks aligned to regulatory standards
- Reconcile regulatory datasets and reporting outputs to ensure consistency and compliance
What they're looking for:
- Bachelor's degree in0Business, Economics, Finance, Data Science or Management Studies
- 1 13 years of experience in data0governance, data operations, analytics, or financial services
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work with0timesensitive,0highquality0data
- Proven ability to analyze, reconcile, and0validate0datasets from multiple sources
- Proficiency0in Microsoft Excel; experience with databases or SQL is an asset
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams

- Experience related0to Structured Finance, credit ratings, or capital markets data
- Experience with data governance, metadata, or data quality frameworks
- Experience working with AI initiatives and projects
