Data Science Intern (2027)

Figma is a design and collaboration platform that helps teams bring ideas to life and work together in real time. The Data Science Intern will partner with product and engineering teams to uncover insights, evaluate experiments, build models, and develop scalable data systems and tools.

What you'll do:

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to turn business questions into data problems
• Evaluate experiments and surface metrics that guide product decisions
• Build models to understand user behavior and predict growth
• Design data pipelines and tools that make product data more scalable and accessible
• Focus areas may include analytics, experimentation, or infrastructure - based on your strengths and interests
• Improve experimentation accuracy and velocity through new testing methodologies
• Investigate user behavior and recommend product improvements
• Build internal data infrastructure and models that support cross-functional teams
• Explore growth opportunities through KPI research and funnel analysis

What they're looking for:

• Experience with Python (or similar scripting language) and SQL
• Solid understanding of statistical methods or data systems
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills
• Familiarity with data infrastructure concepts or large-scale data pipelines
