Data Science Intern

Ad Hoc Research is at the forefront of technological innovation, dedicated to solving complex challenges across various industries. They are seeking a Data Science Intern to gain hands-on experience in data analysis, machine learning, and AI while contributing to impactful solutions.

What you'll do:

• Assist in collecting, cleaning, analyzing, and interpreting large and complex datasets
• Support the development, testing, and validation of machine learning and AI models
• Collaborate with engineers, data scientists, and cross-functional teams to deliver data-driven insights and solutions
• Contribute to the design and implementation of predictive models, statistical analyses, and data visualizations
• Assist in developing and maintaining data workflows and processes to support analytics and model performance
• Work with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and data tools to support scalable analytics environments
• Help document methodologies, findings, and technical processes for internal and external stakeholders
• Conduct research and stay updated on the latest trends and advancements in data science, AI, and analytics

What they're looking for:

• U.S. citizenship is required
• Currently pursuing a degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field
• Strong foundation in programming languages such as Python, R, SQL, or similar
• Basic understanding of statistics, data analysis, and machine learning concepts
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a passion for working with data
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a team-oriented environment
• Familiarity with data science libraries and tools such as Pandas, NumPy, scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch, or similar is a plus
• Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, Matplotlib, or similar is a plus
• Exposure to cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP is a plus
