  • The Data Science Intern term is from May to August, 2026.
  • Full time requirement (40 hours per week).

Purpose:

We are seeking a highly motivated and innovative Data Science Intern to support research and development initiatives focused on foundation models for biologics manufacturing. This internship offers a unique opportunity to work closely with our AI/ML and DPDS teams to develop novel modeling approaches, evaluate benchmarks, and translate advanced analytics into real world impact.

By contributing to next generation AI/ML methodologies, this role will help improve drug manufacturing robustness, process understanding, and supply chain decision making.

You will be responsible

  • Collaborate with AI/ML scientists and domain experts to develop and evaluate foundation models for biologics manufacturing data.
  • Translate manufacturing and supply chain use cases into modeling objectives, benchmarks, and evaluation strategies.
  • Analyze large scale, high dimensional process and analytical datasets to uncover patterns and insights.
  • Present analytical findings and model outcomes to cross functional stakeholders, clearly connecting results to project goals.
  • Contribute to technical reports, white papers, and publications targeting high impact conferences and/or journals.

Requirements:

  • Completion of Undergraduate Freshman year at an accredited University is required.
  • Currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Computer Science, Statistics, Applied Mathematics, Computational Biology, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Have a cumulative GPA of 2.8 or higher, which is reflective of all college coursework.
  • Strong hands on experience in AI/ML research, including representation learning, deep learning, or foundation models.
  • Proficiency in Python and common AI/ML libraries (e.g., PyTorch, TensorFlow, JAX, scikit learn).
  • Familiarity with large scale, noisy, or time series data; experience with manufacturing, biological, or multimodal data is a plus.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively in cross functional research teams

Permanently authorized to work in the U.S., must not require sponsorship of an employment visa (e.g., H-1B or green card) at the time of application or in the future. Students currently on CPT, OPT, or STEM OPT usually requires future sponsorship for long term employment and do not meet the requirements for this program unless eligible for an alternative long-term status that does not require company sponsorship.

The expected pay range for this position is between $23.00 per hour and $51.50 per hour but will be based on candidate's program year, discipline, degree and/or experience. Co-Ops/Interns are eligible to participate in Company sponsored employee medical benefits in accordance with the terms of the plan. Co-Ops and Interns are eligible for the following sick time benefits: up to 40 hours per calendar year; for employees who reside in the State of Washington, up to 56 hours per calendar year. Co-Ops and Interns are eligible to participate in the Company’s consolidated retirement plan (pension).

The anticipated base pay range for this position is :
