Data Science Intern

U.S. Venture, Inc. is seeking a Data Science Intern for Summer 2027 to join their Data and Analytics team. The intern will apply data science methodologies to solve real-world business scenarios and support multiple teams with their data needs.

What you'll do:

• The ideal candidate is a data enthusiast who is looking to apply data science methodologies and solutions in industry to solve real-world business scenarios
• The right candidate will be excited by the prospect of identifying and implementing data science solutions that support US Venture’s strategic initiatives
• We are seeking an intern who is self-directed and will be comfortable supporting the data needs of multiple teams, systems, and products
• We are seeking a team player possessing strong analytical as well as technical skills and who can communicate the logic behind technical decisions to non-technical stakeholders
• Other duties as assigned

What they're looking for:

• Pursuing a bachelor's or advanced degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or related field
• Ability to build processes that support data transformation, data structures, metadata, dependency, and workload management
• Proficiency in Python, with a strong emphasis on data manipulation and analysis using libraries such as Pandas
• Basic understanding of machine learning concepts and algorithms
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work with cross-functional teams
• Demonstration of previous data science projects is preferred
