Data Scientist Intern - OneIT - 2027

IBM is seeking a Data Scientist Intern to join its Cost Optimization team and collaborate with stakeholders across finance, supply chain, product management, development, and engineering. The role focuses on using AI tools, financial analysis, and data science to develop cost-optimization business cases, competitive benchmarks, and process improvements.

What you'll do:

• Work with stakeholders and others in a multidisciplinary team to worth through innovative opportunities that optimize cost
• Leverage AI tools, financial analysis and data science to develop business cases including competitive benchmarking to support cost optimization and process improvements

What they're looking for:

• High School Diploma/GED
• Pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Data Science, Cost and Product Engineering etc
• Prior (project or internship) exposure to cost-related roles and projects that involve cross-team collaboration
• Exposure to supply chain, development, product management, manufacturing or finance
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Passion for technology and engineering
• Growth minded, trusted, team focused, courageous, resourceful, and outcome focused

• Bachelor's Degree
• Direct experience in Cost Engineering, particularly with hardware offerings
• Experience and familiarity with programming and scripting tools
