Data Scientist Intern - OneIT - Poughkeepsie, NY

IBM is seeking a Data Scientist Intern to support its Cost Optimization team. The role involves collaborating across finance, supply chain, product management, development, and engineering to identify cost optimization opportunities, improve processes, and develop business cases using AI tools, financial analysis, data science, and competitive benchmarking.

What you'll do:

• Help manage an opportunity to partner across teams in finance, supply chain, product management, development and engineering
• Collaborating across organizations and finding innovative ways to improve process
• Drive process improvements among Systems
• Work with stakeholders and others in a multidisciplinary team to worth through innovative opportunities that optimize cost
• Leverage AI tools, financial analysis and data science to develop business cases including competitive benchmarking to support cost optimization and process improvements

What they're looking for:

• Pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Data Science, Cost and Product Engineering etc
• Prior (project or internship) exposure to cost-related roles and projects that involve cross-team collaboration
• Exposure to supply chain, development, product management, manufacturing or finance
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Passion for technology and engineering
• Direct experience in Cost Engineering, particularly with hardware offerings
• Experience and familiarity with programming and scripting tools
