Data Scientist Intern - OneIT - Poughkeepsie, NY

IBM is a technology and consulting company with a Cost Optimization team that collaborates across finance, supply chain, product management, development, and engineering. The Data Scientist Intern will work with stakeholders to identify cost-optimization opportunities and use AI tools, financial analysis, and data science to develop business cases and support process improvements.

What you'll do:

• Work with stakeholders and others in a multidisciplinary team to worth through innovative opportunities that optimize cost
• Leverage AI tools, financial analysis and data science to develop business cases including competitive benchmarking to support cost optimization and process improvements

What they're looking for:

• High School Diploma/GED
• Pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Data Science, Cost and Product Engineering etc
• Prior (project or internship) exposure to cost-related roles and projects that involve cross-team collaboration
• Exposure to supply chain, development, product management, manufacturing or finance
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Passion for technology and engineering
• Growth minded, trusted, team focused, courageous, resourceful, and outcome focused

• Bachelor's Degree
• Direct experience in Cost Engineering, particularly with hardware offerings
• Experience and familiarity with programming and scripting tools
