About this role
Guidehouse is a consulting company serving Federal clients. The Junior Data Scientist will understand client needs, design data and AI/ML solutions, develop products using tools such as Python, SQL, LLMs, Tableau, and Databricks, and communicate findings to technical and non-technical audiences. The role also involves client engagement, process automation, and support for internal initiatives and business development.
What you'll do:
- Apply strong technical skills and a mission‑focused mindset to understand client needs, identify opportunities, and design solutions for Federal clients
- Leverage tools such as Python, SQL, LLMs, and Tableau and platforms such as Databricks to develop products and solutions
- Automate processes using Power Automate when appropriate
- Communicate clearly to translate technical findings for both technical and non‑technical audiences, including leadership
- Engage directly with clients to gather requirements, adapt solutions to mission needs, and drive initiatives forward
- Support internal initiatives and business development including RFP, RFQ, and RFI responses and white papers
What they're looking for:
- * Active SECRET or higher security clearance
- * Bachelor's degree in a relevant technical field
- * TWO (2) years of Data science, data engineering or data analytics experience
- * Proficiency in connecting data sources and wrangling data using Python
- * Experience in querying and wrangling data using SQL
- * Experience designing and developing ETL/ELT data pipelines
- * Experience utilizing Large Language Models and prompt engineering
- * Experience in developing and deploying AI/ML models using Python
- * Experience performing analytics and data engineering in a cloud environment, such as Azure or AWS
- * Ability to support remote, hybrid, or on-site projects in the Washington D.C. metro area
- * THREE (3) years of relevant professional experience
- * Experience working in Databricks
