Data Specialists transform information into actionable insights by researching business questions, analyzing operational data, identifying trends, and supporting initiatives that improve customer and business outcomes. Depending on the team, responsibilities may include reporting, operational analysis, process improvement, business research, or project support.

This role offers the opportunity to expand your analytical skills, collaborate across the organization, and contribute to work that drives meaningful business decisions.

If you're naturally curious, enjoy solving problems and want to make an impact through data and analysis, we'd love to hear from you.

What You’ll Do

Research & Analyze

  • Research operational questions using available data, systems, and business resources.

  • Analyze customer, operational and business data to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities.

  • Validate findings across multiple sources to support accurate, data-driven recommendations.

  • Summarize findings into clear, actionable insights for leadership and business partners.

Support Business Improvements

  • Assist with operational initiatives, process improvements, and business projects.

  • Support testing, validation and implementation of new processes, reports, and system enhancements.

  • Document findings, processes, and recommendations to support operational improvements.

  • Monitor business performance and help identify emerging issues or opportunities.

Reporting & Operational Support

  • Create, maintain and validate reports, dashboards, and recurring business deliverables.

  • Ensure data accuracy and consistency across reporting and documentation.

  • Complete recurring and ad hoc analytical requests within established timelines.

  • Support ongoing operational activities that enable informed business decisions.

Collaborate & Deliver Results

  • Partner with leaders and cross-functional teams to support business objectives.

  • Communicate findings and recommendations clearly and professionally.

  • Manage multiple priorities while maintaining quality and attention to detail.

  • Continue developing knowledge of business processes, systems, and analytical tools.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

What We’re Looking For

  • Minimum six months of Williams-Sonoma Care Center experience.

  • Strong performance in your current role and a demonstrated willingness to take on additional responsibility.

  • Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.

  • Curiosity and a desire to understand how and why business processes work.

  • Ability to interpret data, identify trends, and draw meaningful conclusions.

  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.

  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.

  • Experience using Care Center systems and business applications, including CCUI, is preferred.

  • Experience with reporting, operational analysis or process improvement is a plus.

What Success Looks Like

Successful Data Specialists are curious, analytical, and proactive. They use data to understand business challenges, validate findings, and help identify opportunities that improve operational performance and the customer experience.

They communicate insights clearly, take ownership of their work and consistently deliver accurate, high-quality results. They collaborate effectively across teams, adapt to changing priorities, and continuously build their knowledge of the business to provide increasingly valuable recommendations.
